RECAP MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2018 – OUR CLIENTS’ HIGHLIGHTS

An eventful and exciting Milan Design Week lies behind us, packed with a number of launches and debuts, interviews and opening parties both at Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone.

Thank you very much for your visit! For those of you who missed the presentations, we are delighted to present you the highlights:

 

KARIMOKU NEW STANDARD

At Salone del Mobile 2018, Karimoku New Standard successfully debuted PANORAMA, a family of chairs by Berlin-based designers GECKELER MICHELS, PROP, a line of shelving by Swiss design studio BIG-GAME, the ARCHIVE shelf and ELEPHANT 1-seater by German designer CHRISTIAN HAAS as well as a number of new additions to existing collections. At a press event on Wednesday morning, the designers BIG-GAME and GECKELER  MICHELS personally introduced their novelties for the Japanese contemporary furniture brand.

 

REPUBLIC OF FRITZ HANSEN

The Danish furniture brand Republic of Fritz Hansen presented the new N01 chair by Nendo at Milan Design Week. During a well attended press event at the Fritz Hansen showroom, Fritz Hansen CEO Jacob Holm and Head of Design Christian Andresen introduced together with the designer of the N01 Oki Sato the first solid wood chair in the brand’s collection since more than 60 years.

 

BROKIS

As in recent years, the Czech lighting brand Brokis teamed up with Apage Casa for this year’s Milan Design Week and presented objects from the brand’s portfolio of handblown glass lights, including the latest collections such as Puro Sparkle and Jack O’Lantern, in an impressive and noble installation at Agape Casa.

 

STUDIO BESAU-MARGUERRE

The renowned designer duo Studio Besau-Marguerre presented the first furniture piece for German traditional porcelain brand Fürstenberg during Salone del Mobile 2018. The delicate side table is entirely manufactured of high-quality porcelain.

 

JONO CONCEPTS

At Salone Satellite, Jono Concepts exhibited the luminaire series RESIM, the SINGLE STOOL, both together with Laura Jungmann and the FIBRE MATES together with Laura Jungmann, Martha Schwindling and Elena Tezak.
