At Heimtextil 2026 in Frankfurt, our new client Hembus presents handcrafted wallcoverings, demonstrating how historic techniques, contemporary design, and meticulous artisanal craftsmanship come together to create truly unique wallpapers. For more than 130 years, the wallpaper manufactory has stood for masterfully produced wallpapers from the Odenwald region — shaped by a living tradition and exceptional craftsmanship.

At Heimtextil, Hembus showcases both historical and current patterns, offering transparent insights into the artisanal production processes — from hand-painted negatives to the multi-layered color passes of the screen-printing machine. With a portfolio of over 800 historical and contemporary designs, the range spans from Art Nouveau and Art Deco to modern interpretations. Wallpaper is understood not merely as a product, but as the result of an ongoing dialogue between history, material and contemporary design.
