Press preview at Berlin's iconic Kino International
All eyes on Berlin! Coinciding with the Berlinale, one of the world’s most renowned cinema landmarks is set to return: following an extensive, heritage-sensitive restoration, Kino International will reopen in Berlin on February 26, 2026. Brand. Kiosk hosted an exclusive press preview for architecture and design media.
Located on the monumental Karl-Marx-Allee—one of the most significant urban boulevards of European postwar modernism in former East Berlin—the iconic building presents itself as an architectural Gesamtkunstwerk, uniting historic fabric, artisanal precision, and contemporary technology. In doing so, the cinema reconnects with its long tradition as a cultural meeting place and premiere venue, creating a space where architecture, design, and urban life converge—from the auditorium to the legendary Panorama Bar.
