For our client Studio Besau-Marguerre we organized a press trip in November to Hamburg’s spectacular concert hall Elbphilharmonie and had the chance, together with a fabulous group of journalists, to take a private look inside beforehand. Studio Besau-Marguerre was asked by Daniel Schöning of WRS Architekten to team up for the interior concept and furnishing for Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie and the response to their monochrome interior concept is overwhelming.
The interdisciplinary team realized a sensitive concept and designed a range of furniture specifically for this project.
The central theme of the furnishing approach reacts elegantly to the challenge of developing a concept, that, on its own, leaves a lasting impression yet simultaneously does not impair the impact of the architecture.
The furniture designs for the foyers and the Sky Lounge will, in addition to the specification in the Elbphilharmonie, be produced in series by the renowned manufacturer e15 from spring 2017.
