Karimoku Furniture Inc. collaborates again with Studio Mikiya Kobayashi and brings PLAYSCAPE, a playful and artistic installation from Tokyo to Milan. With PLAYSCAPE, the Japanese designer Kobayashi offers a new perspective on the application of playground equipment, for both adults and children to play, enjoy and relax. After the very well-received installation in Tokyo in 2018, Karimoku and Mikiya Kobayashi extend the number of items on display at this year’s Milan Design Week, featuring slides, swings, cradles, seesaws and rocking chairs. Additionally, all of the items will be upholstered with a new Kvadrat fabric, called “Maple”. This new type of furniture is manufactured by Karimoku Furniture, which produces one of the highest quality wooden furniture in the world, using its own technique, experience and research.
